How do I prepare audio for a short clip?
Start with a 15, 30 or 60-second selection, then adjust the start to find your moment. Presets never extend past the file. Try short fade-ins and fade-outs for smoother edges, then listen before downloading.
How do MP3 and WAV support differ?
This version reads PCM WAV and browser-decodable MP3, then exports 16-bit PCM WAV for editing apps that accept WAV. Files may be larger than MP3. MP3 export and other formats remain planned; renaming an extension does not convert audio.
How precise is trimming, and is my work saved?
Enter times to milliseconds; positions snap to the nearest audio sample. WAV keeps its sample rate. MP3 may contain encoder delay or padding. Work stays in this page’s memory, with 30 undo/redo steps, and is lost when the page is closed or reloaded.
Can I use this on a phone?
Touch controls and time fields are available. Zoom the waveform or enter times for finer selection. Long audio uses more memory; some devices may need shorter clips. Responsive testing does not guarantee every physical device.
Use audio you have permission to use. Trimming does not change its rights. Joining files, multitrack editing, microphone recording and vocal separation are not included in this version.
