Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded when I convert it to JPG or PNG?
No. The conversion runs in your browser and the file is never sent to a server. One PDF at a time, up to 10 MiB and 200 pages.
Should I pick 72, 150 or 300 DPI?
72 DPI suits screens and chat apps. 150 DPI is sharp for ordinary documents and web uploads, and is free at full quality. 300 DPI is for print and is an iToolers Pro feature. An A4 page is about 1240 px wide at 150 DPI and about 2480 px at 300 DPI.
What is the difference between JPG, PNG and WebP?
JPG is small and good for photo-heavy pages, with a quality slider. PNG is lossless and best for text and tables, but larger. WebP is smaller than JPG at similar quality, but some browsers cannot create it; if yours cannot, use JPG or PNG. Every image gets a white background.
How do I download everything, and how are files named?
Download pages one by one or all at once as a single ZIP. Files are named like name-p3.jpg, where 3 is the page number in the original PDF. Free converts up to 20 pages per run; iToolers Pro raises that to 100.
What about rotated or very large pages?
Pages that are rotated in the PDF come out the way your PDF reader shows them. If a page is too large for the browser to draw at the chosen DPI, such as a poster, the tool lowers the resolution slightly and tells you in the results instead of failing.
