What can the studio do, and is it free?
It builds basic shapes, 2D sketches extruded into solids, lofts and lathes, sculpts with brushes and masks, runs Boolean operations (union, cut, intersect), bends and twists parts, makes characters and fantasy creatures from editable recipes, splits parts with pegs and holes for assembly, turns a photo into a relief plate, and exports STL or a ZIP of parts. It is completely free, with no Pro gate and no sign-up.
Are my models and pictures uploaded anywhere?
No. All calculation runs in your browser with Workers and WebAssembly. Models, pictures, file names, part names and project files are not sent to any server. The studio page only loads this website’s code and the starter character data from this same site. If our counter records anything it is only how many times an STL export happened, with no content attached, and it stays off when Do Not Track is on. The site also uses Cloudflare’s page-view analytics, which does not receive your work.
Can I prepare a Tripo, Meshy or other AI-generated model for 3D printing?
Yes. Choose the “เตรียมโมเดลจาก AI ให้พร้อมพิมพ์” (prepare AI model) card and open a GLB, OBJ or STL file (up to 200 MB or 4 million triangles). A Worker on your device reads and reduces it, first showing the triangle count, size, up axis and open edges, then reduces it to about 98,000 / 60,000 / 30,000 triangles or a value you set, fixes duplicate points and faces, flipped faces and small holes, turns Y-up into Z-up, sets the height in millimetres, drops it on the floor, and can add a round or rectangular base joined with a Boolean. After that you can use the bed check, the split-with-pegs tool and STL export. Nothing is uploaded.
Can every AI file be repaired, and what about colour, rights and limits?
No guarantee, and the report says what actually happened. If the surface is still not closed after repair, it cannot enter the scene, and a “สร้างผิวใหม่ (Remesh)” option rebuilds a solid and a new surface: it closes the model reliably but smooths the surface, loses fine detail and drops single-layer thin sheets. The reduction error is the simplifier’s own estimate, not a measured distance. Passing the surface check is not a print guarantee. STL carries no colour. GLB files compressed with Draco or Meshopt are not supported yet. Rights to the model follow the terms of the AI service you used; check them before selling. Big files need several GB of memory, so use a computer, not a phone. The normal scene limits (16 parts, 100,000 triangles, ±1,000 mm) do not change.
Is it comparable to Blender, ZBrush or CAD software?
No. This is a starter studio for preparing models for 3D printing, not a Blender- or ZBrush-class program. There is no rendering, animation rig or cloth simulation. Garments are closed front/back panels that fit the surface once and do not follow later changes to the body, there is no full movable action-figure joint system, no AI figure from a single photo, and scanning is an approximate shape from aligned silhouette photos taken around an object, not a walk-around phone scan.
Is there a slicer or G-code, and is a model guaranteed to print once the surface check passes?
No. There is no slicer, no G-code and no 3MF export. You export STL, or a ZIP of STL files, and STL carries no colour. Colours on screen and in the JSON project file are for display only. For multi-colour prints, split the model by colour and set that up in your own slicer. Passing the surface check is not a print guarantee: No. The topology check tells you whether the surface is closed and free of holes as far as it can test, but it does not guarantee self-intersections, wall thickness, strength or a real print result. Always open the STL in your own slicer, inspect it, and make a test print. This version has not been test-printed across real parts. The built-in examples (the phone stand, the robot mascot and the baby dragon) are original designs that have not been printed either, and their step files were generated by a script from the same tools the buttons use, not recorded from clicks. A single peg-and-hole joint needs a fit test of its own.
Will I lose my work if I refresh or close the page?
The Studio autosaves your project inside this browser only (IndexedDB) a few seconds after you edit and when you leave the page. It never leaves your device. Next time you open the Studio you will see “ทำงานล่าสุดต่อ” (continue last work) and a button to delete the local copy. If you clear browser data, use a private window, switch computers, or the project is too big to autosave, it will not be there, so press “Save project” to download a JSON file now and then. Opening a JSON adds its parts to the current scene instead of replacing it. Painted masks and the undo stack are not saved, and sculpting a mesh can make that part’s earlier editable history impossible to edit parametrically again.
Does it work on a phone, what are the size limits, and why is the app only in Thai?
A computer with a mouse, keyboard and enough memory is recommended. Phones and tablets have not been tested on real devices, so mobile use is not guaranteed. Limits: up to 16 parts in a scene, 100,000 triangles in total, coordinates within ±1,000 mm, imported model or project files up to 32 MiB, and up to 20 undo steps. Files from AI tools go through a separate path that does not use this 32 MiB cap (see the AI-model answers). Language: The studio’s working interface (menus, buttons and messages) is written in Thai only in this version and has no English translation yet. This landing page is bilingual so the scope and limits are clear, but opening the studio from the English page shows the same Thai interface. The STL and project files you export do not depend on language.
