Is a document made here a tax invoice or an e-Tax Invoice?
No. This tool makes ordinary quotations, invoices (billing notes) and receipts as PDF files. The VAT 7% option only calculates and shows the tax amounts. It does not produce a tax invoice in the format and with the content the Revenue Department requires, and it is not an e-Tax Invoice. A VAT-registered business must issue tax invoices through the channels or software the Revenue Department approves. If you are unsure which document you need, ask an accountant or the Revenue Department.
Is the information I type uploaded?
No. Names, addresses, tax IDs, line items, logo, signature and PromptPay ID are all processed in your browser, and the PDF is built on your device. The only file fetched is the site’s own Thai font. Free users store nothing on the device: if you close or refresh the page, anything you have not downloaded is lost (the browser warns you first). The Pro seller profiles, customers and document history stay on this device only and disappear if you clear browser data.
How are VAT, withholding tax and rounding calculated?
Every amount is calculated in whole satang, never in floating point, and rounded half up. You choose whether prices exclude VAT (7% is added) or include it (VAT is split out of the total). The overall discount is taken off before VAT. Withholding tax can be 1, 2, 3 or 5%, computed on the amount before VAT, and the net payable is the total minus the tax withheld. The PromptPay QR in the document uses the net payable and can be made for amounts from 0.01 to 99,999,999.99 THB.
What is free, and what does Pro add?
Making and downloading documents is fully free: all three types, two templates, original or copy, logo, signature, VAT, withholding tax and a PromptPay QR, with no watermark and no account, one document at a time. iToolers Pro adds on-device memory: up to 3 seller profiles with logo and signature, up to 50 saved customers, automatic numbering per type and year such as QT-2569-0001, and a history of 50 documents to duplicate.
How does the PDF handle Thai, and what are the limits?
The file is A4 with the Noto Sans Thai font embedded, and vowels and tone marks are positioned by the font’s own rules. Long documents split into pages automatically, up to 100 lines. Characters the font does not have, such as emoji, print as an empty box and you are warned. Copying Thai text that contains sara am from the PDF can give a repeated letter in some viewers. The PromptPay QR only carries the PromptPay ID and the amount; a scan is not proof of payment, so test-scan it with a banking app and always check the money has arrived.
